November 2024 Planting

It was a cold, rainy day on November 14, 2024, but 100 volunteers showed up to help plant 1600 trees. This was our first planting at a site in Mill Creek MetroParks Wildlife Sanctuary on W. Calla Road. The site was surrounded by deer fencing so planters did not need to install protective tree tubes and wooden stakes. Elimination of this step was a time-saver but the damp weather made sure the group got wet and muddy!
